I have decided not to put in my bid for candidacy to be considered as a delegate for the national Democratic convention…
Before I hear the boos and hisses…this is a mini political campaign in itself…you have to declare your bid, then you have to campaign for votes…as fun as it sounds…I work full time, and I don’t have the time, money, or energy to do what’s needed right now…
I don’t have the time to attend fund raisers, nor do I have the time to host. I don’t have money to give to the democrats, and right now my time is sparse, well at least my time during the week…I am already using vacation days to attend the State Democratic convention.
So for those who wants to know what it takes to become a delegate…let along a super delegate…it’s takes a lot of time, money, and effort…the more money you give over time, and the more volunteer hours you give over time, helps you to gain that status within the party…
And right now I am exhausted.
But...
I still might try to get on as a volunteer, we shall see.
Maybe a future in politics is not in the cards for me after all…I tire of bullshit real fast.

Kidding. I do echo Patticakes sentiments, though. But don't second guess your aspirations. Think about, there has to be at least one person in the political arena who thought about not doing it because they don't like Bullshit. And I'd love to believe that they still do it because they feel as though they can change the Bullshit that is there (most do it because they are sheisty and it's a big racket but...).
The point is, you have a passion, I believe. Sometimes, passion takes work and there will be mounds of BS in the way in everything you do. You know that already. You'd want to find a way to make sure that the passion doesn't BECOME work.
Now the time and money thing is just real talk. Understands to the fullest. Hopefully both will present themselves to you. (all of this was to say) Back burner it on low, but don't rule it out. :)

I can dig it. I too am, getting tired of the requests from candidates and my state democratic party asking for money and time. I want to do it, but I gotta pay the bills.
And the more I pay attnetion, the more i realize this is a bunch of drawn out drama. I love politics, but I'm getting tired of hearing about it and people tellingme what to think. It's sickening.
